Safeguarding : DBS checks was CRB
Introduction:Checking the background of people who work with children, young people or vulnerable adults is important. All Disclosure and Barring Service checks (now DBS was CRB) are now completed online.
The process is simple and help is available if required. There are local parish/deanery Identity (ID) Checkers whose role it is to both check the ID of local applicants and to help those who cannot make thier application online.
Details of the application process and a list of the ID checkers can be obtained from Gavin Dix White, the DBS administrator, on 01522 50 40 87.
