Dean of Women’s Ministry appointed by Bishop of Lincoln
Advocating for the needs of women
The Bishop of Lincoln, Stephen Conway, has appointed Revd Liz Brown as the new Dean of Women’s Ministry in the Diocese of Lincoln.
This important role will enable women in licensed ministry to flourish in their gifts and vocation and to represent and advocate for the needs of women in licensed ministry.
I bring to the role a desire to work for the inclusion of all God’s people, regardless of gender.
Liz Brown
Liz will encourage women to develop their callings into ministry and she will play a pivotal part in advising the Bishops and their colleagues about issues affecting women in ministry.
A few words from Liz
“I have served all of my ministry in Lincoln Diocese both as a parish priest and as part of the vocations team as Assistant DDO, as well as more recently becoming Rural Dean of Yarborough. I am a passionate lover of Victorian social history and running.
The role of Dean of Women’s Ministry will have changed considerably in the thirty years since the first women were ordained to the priesthood, and I bring to the role a desire to work for the inclusion of all God’s people, regardless of gender, a commitment which is at the heart of the ethos of Lincoln Diocese.”
