Read the storyIt is with mixed emotions that we announce Clare Lindsay will be finishing her time as Warden of Lay Ministry on Wednesday 5 February. Clare has been an invaluable part of the Diocese of Lincoln. We are hugely grateful for all that she has contributed to the role and to the Lay Ministers of the Diocese.
Reflecting on her time as Warden of Lay Ministry with the Diocese, Clare shared:
“I am grateful for all that I have shared with Readers and Authorised Lay Ministers and those supporting them and will continue to hold everyone in my prayers.
“I am grateful for all that I have shared with Readers and Authorised Lay Ministers and those supporting them and will continue to hold everyone in my prayers.”
“It has not been an easy decision but after a great deal of prayer and reflection I have concluded that the time has come for me to move on.”
Bishop Nicholas also expressed his heartfelt gratitude, saying:
“Over many years and in different roles, Clare has contributed hugely to the life of the Diocese of Lincoln. It has been a particular privilege for me to have worked with her in recent months as one of the joint Wardens of Lay Ministry. I have personally witnessed the care with which she has exercised this ministry.
“Her contribution has been a vital part of the implementation of Time to Change Together. I would like to wish her well in her future ministry and to thank her for all that she has given to the people of Greater Lincolnshire, first in her time at the Lincoln School of Theology and more recently as part of the College of St Hugh.”
Clare’s dedication and service have left an indelible mark on our community. Her presence will be deeply missed. As we bid her farewell, we extend our best wishes for her future endeavors and thank Clare for her commitment to the Diocese.
Please join us in celebrating Clare’s remarkable journey and in praying for her continued success and happiness in all that lies ahead.
